During Sunday 12 October – Wednesday 15 October the 10th MIKE by DHI Regional Conference, “Water Across Europe”, took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
The Conference was well attended by almost 130 participants from 18 countries: Australia, Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey. In addition, DHI Denmark, DHI Sweden, DHI-WASY, DHI a.s. and Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe and a large number of DHI European software agents attended “Water Across Europe”.
The Programme comprised a significant number of activities and options in order to ensure that the needs and requirements of the delegates - experienced, new or potential users - were covered in the most comprehensive, flexible and efficient way: More than 40 user presentations and specialized sessions on the present and future features of MIKE by DHI products were presented running in 4 tracks covering coast and sea; flood hazards; urban water; water and catchment management/rivers; 4 keynote speeches: more than 15 individual meetings (“Book-An-Expert”); 6 walk-through training sessions (MIKE 11, MIKE FLOOD, MIKE URBAN CS & WD, FEFLOW, MIKE 21).
The Delegates showed a lot of enthusiasm for the new release 2009 software and especially notable was the interest in the new release of MIKE URBAN and 2D overland flow modelling as a fully integrated model component in MIKE URBAN.

"Water Across Europe" was arranged by DHI, Proning DHI and Proneko, DHI’s technical support service and Software Agent in Croatia and took place under the honorable patronage of Croatian Waters ("Hrvatske vode"), Croatian Society for Drainage & Irrigation and Croatian Hydrological Society. The Conference took place at Hotel Dubrovnik President.
