In Bulgaria’s water system, there’s still some room for improvement. Funding by the European Union (EU) shall help to fill that room.
DHI and a consortium of partners helped the Bulgarian authorities to develop a long-term concept for urban water cycle development as well as a long-term investment plan, thereby setting the stage for a successful application for EU Cohesion Funds. The project addressed both the water supply as well as the waste water sector in six large Bulgarian cities that are overall providing water services to more than 1.35 million inhabitants.
